Our ministry here in Busia is quite different from what it was the first 2 months. Here, our schedule changes frequently and you never know what you might be doing. We mostly do door to door and hospital visits, but a couple weeks ago we ended up helping at a children's conference that was being held at our church. We basically helped Chef Lucas cook breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea. We cooked a lot of mandazi and chiptai. Cut up who knows how many vegetables and it was quite fun! Normally, April 15th is a day we as Americans remember because our taxes are due…but from now on, April 15th will also mark the day that I got to do something that very few people probably ever get to do. You see on April 15th, 2011 I got to pet the fastest land animal, a cheetah, at a game park in Kisumu, a city about 2 hours away from where we are in Busia.
