“Dog Sliding His Butt Across The Carpet” Dance Moves

From Tuesday to Sunday my team and our contact facilitated a crusade in Mhamarani. For all of you that don’t know, a crusade is simply open air preaching. You choose a spot in a city, set up, and basically hold a church service right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the area. However, this crusade was very different from the others in past weeks because it was clustered with drunk men. What a sight to see, full grown men interpretive dancing to the praise and worship songs being sung. Seriously, I think it could have made a 60 year old woman who has denounced dancing...

My Daddy’s Lap

I had a vision. God was sitting on his throne and lightening and thunder were crashing all around me. His holiness was overpowering. And then I(as a little girl) ran up to him and jumped into his lap. God was overjoyed and he started to tickle me and we both laughed together. He then just started to rock me as I sat in his lap. Love was surrounding both of us. He was pouring his love on me and I was giving it right back. I then looked up into his eyes, gave him a big smile, and slid off his lap to dance. God watched me, laughed, and had eyes that were full of love. As I was dancing I...

I dare you not to read this

It’s funny how the days that change your life never seem very special in the midst of the moments that occur. You experience so much within a single day that it can take weeks to pin-point why that day was so unique and why, after such a day, you will never be the same. It is just mind boggling how 1 day, how 24 hours, how 1,440 minutes, contains the capacity to wreck you forever. This was my day.   I awoke to the all too normal rooster crow, threw on an only slightly dirty shirt, and grabbed some breakfast. Orphans was the game plan today and I was excited for what God had...

That’s All That Matters

It’s a late night singing and playing songs of praise on my guitar. At the top of my lungs I begin crying out with all that I have as my fingers begin to hurt, but that doesn’t matter. All I care about is bringing Heaven to Earth. All I care about is bringing Heaven to Earth.  The other Saints in the room are completely lost in the Spirit and in God’s Love…I looked up for a moment and saw a beautiful sight before me…my teammates on their knees, faces, jumping, shouting, declaring, and crying because Jesus was in the room with us. The noise we were...

God, will you be my valentine?

Valentine’s Day 2011, a day I will never forget. A day that will forever be meaningful to me. Curious as to what happened on this day? Well it’s exciting. I hope you’re ready. On this day, I was baptized in the Indian Ocean. I was definitely ready to make the step and fully commit to changing my life for Christ. My past was still chaining me down and I wanted to be free from it. After walking into the ocean, Bishop asked me a few questions then prayed over me. God was there the whole time, smiling at me because of how happy He was with me. When I was under the water,...
