Serving

In these days it seems that God has put us in the darkest situations so that we may demonstrate His dominion. It is like a jewler who places his dimond on a black back drop so it may be seen clearer. So it is with us in this dark world that we may display His glourious body the church and its people. where sin abounded grace abounded much more (Rom 5:20). Luke 13:20-21 "To what shall i liken the Kingdom of God? it is like leaven which a women took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened. Leaven: an element that produces an altering or transforming influence. The...

Shine a light

Let me give you a little back ground info on the IDP Camp: These people at the IDP camp live everyday just trying to make it by. Most of these people lost absolutely everything in the 2007 elections, everything down to the clothes on their backs. The government brought them about 3 hours away from their home town and gave them $100.00 dollars to live on. Sitting Down and Waiting For Death

Imagine this harsh reality for a moment: You could potentially die if you don't get to a hospital soon. But, there is no such thing as dialing 911 because there is no ambulance that will come. Just 11 Women in the Middle of Africa

Let me take you through a day in the life of eleven hormonal girls who have lived throughout Kenya for 77 days. Not only have we literally lived in the African bush for six weeks, or lived in tents and slept on sleeping pads for two and a half months, or cried because we haven't showered in an entire week, or cried because we have nothing clean to wear and want an actual wardrobe, or just cried for no reason, we've done it all together. The relationships that have been built in our little community cannot be explained in words. It is a special bond that we all share. Everyone is so...

Where the Lord is leading me….

My dear friend Lesley has a poster on her wall that says, "Where you live should no longer determine whether you live".  That phrase on the poster always moved me and fed my hunger for justice, especially in Africa.  Since living in Kenya for almost 3 months now, the Lord has been adding to that phrase and has continually reminding me that He has called me to be a minister of reconciliation and of justics.  He has said, "Where my people live should not determine whether they have heard about Jesus, whether they have full bellys when they go to sleep, whether...
