Do you remember Michael? Michael was a young man that was tormented by demons. They threatened him with murder if he didn’t drink poison. Michael didn’t know what to do. So, in fear, he ran to drink the poison and fell into a coma. Michael was taken to the hospital in the middle of the night. That following day we showed up with faith the size of a mustard seed. 11 mustard seeds must be pretty powerful because Michael from his coma that night. It took only 24 hours for God to do His thing. I was amazed and in awe of my God. I can tell you that my faith grew immensely that day.
Now, meet Grace.
Grace is a tiny beautiful wife. She is saved and so is her husband. But, Grace has a cist in her brain. She was outside one afternoon when she suddenly passed out. She hasn’t woken up since. It has been almost 5 weeks that Grace has been in her coma. I have prayed, prayed, and prayed some more. I have been to visit Grace 4 times. Each time I would hope with all of my might that today would be different. Each time I would be disappointed. I didn’t want to leave Busia without knowing that she was okay. But, the Friday before we left, I made my way to the hospital with hopes larger than mountains. As I stepped into her ward, she looked so sweet. She looked peaceful. But, she was still trapped inside that dark coma.
Today, I find myself puzzled by God. I don’t understand why Michael was awakened and Grace hasn’t been. I don’t understand why my prayers aren’t enough this time? Why Michael? Why not Grace?
