1 month ago I stepped off the airplane into the unknown of this 3 month journey in Kenya. I had a vague idea of the ministry we would be doing, but had no idea that we would be visiting 3 different tribes in a course of 6 weeks. Over the past few days I've definitely learned not to make any plans. They say to expect the unexpected, but I say don't expect anything at all. And if you don't expect anything, you'll always be pleasantly surprised. The Lord has filled me with an unexplainable joy and I've yet to be let down. It's true that sometimes we have no idea where we'll be in the next hour, or what we'll be doing the next day but I have peace in that nevertheless. Each tribe has been so different, and as we end our time Karati, and get ready for Pokot, I know that our team will continue to be blessed and encouraged in the work we are doing. Who knew that our team would be in Uganda for mid-debrief? Not me! I'm so excited for the days ahead and although our plans aren't always for sure, the Lord will take care of us no matter where we are because we're changing hearts. It's so fullfilling knowing that as long as you have an open heart and trust the Lord, that tomorrow will be great no matter the circumstances. So if you find yourself walking against the wind with a cat in your jacket, in the pouring rain and nothing on your feet, smile because Jesus has your back and you'll have a funny story to tell. Our team just arrived at this internet cafe in Naivasha via matatu and I don't know what's next. What I do know is that God is good all the time, even if you're unaware of it. (God being good, or the time!)
