The Forgotten

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. – Luke 11:13

I have never see the Holy Spirit move so much as I have in the past four days.  It’s not becuase He doesn’t move, but because we are so focused on ourselves that we forget to ask Him to move in our hearts.  It has been so amazing to see the spiritual gifts that some of these people here have been blessed with and how they are trying to master the gift that God has given them.

Last night every team and leader prayed over each other as we were about to be sent out to the field and at the end, one of the leaders stood up and talked about a vision that he had received the night before.  He talked about how he saw a group of people that had a burning flame in their eyes.  He then referred back to Revelation 1:12-16

When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven gold lampstands.  And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man.  He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest.  His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow.  And his eyes were like flames of fire.  His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves.

He continued to say how this was a generation that was stepping out and spreading this fire.  When we surrender to God and love Him with everything we have He sets our hearts on fire for Him.  The eyes are the window to the soul!

Listening to the Holy Spirit isn’t something that just happens, but something that we have to pracitce everyday.  My prayer is that as a generation we can seek Him boldly and listen to what the Spirit is saying to us every minute of everyday!

Grace and Peace.
