My Kenya Familia

Three days of training camp and I’ve been given a new family. From the moment my teammates stepped out of their prospective vehicles and sat down in a circle at the Chattanooga airport we have been united to one cause, one purpose, that is, to become more Christ-like in every possible way. I am overwhelmed time and time again by how intent the 15 of us are on serving the Lord by demonstrating genuine love to one another and the people of Kenya who we haven’t even met yet. Whether its cleaning up after each other, sharing food or being painfully transparent, we are day by day...

Men of God at war

The lights are down low, the swords are raised, and the faith is high……..Men of God at war. Michael, Jeremy, Samson, and Kolby fought for truth, fought for grace, for honor and peace to arise within us women. We lay silently listening to music playing while the war was just beginning. Within time the men had covered us in his admiration, sheltered us in prayer, and clothed us in untainted royalty. These loyal men of God kissed our scars, and hushed our cries. It was time some of us had been fought for, erasing the...

The Saints of Authority

Day two after arriving in Busia and already we are taking a ton of ground back from the enemy…but we all know that when we reclaim a lot of ground Satan will try and get it back…but not this time. As the Saints we have all authority over anything that can be thrown our way. As the Saints we can rebuke any lie, attack, thought, or feeling that is not of God. Because we have the Holy Spirit within our hearts, and because we have been made alive in Christ we can and we will prevail in this battle for the broken. God has sent us for a reason…and we will make sure that the...

Just wondering…HA!   Well, hey...

The door without a key

In Matthew 18 God talks about the faith of a child, i thought i knew what that meet until two nights ago. my perspective on a child like faith has been shaken up and poured out. Two nights ago during worship the spirit rocked my inner soul to the core, it wasnt until afterwards i had to reasure myself that what i felt was real. I thought to myself…why would i ever have to reasure myself, that is beyond selfish and insucure. All of a sudden i understood Matthew 18, its not how we worship or how we love God that needs to be like a child, its our certainty of our feelings that need to be...

BURNED IN FAITH

BURNED IN FAITH Within a few hours of being in Mpeketoni a huge tree grabbed my attention. The trunk that held this tree was thick enough to support an army of men, and its roots ran deep onto hospital property. About a week ago that tree was burned at the peak of its trunk; the lifeless work of art shows no mercy in its ash stained bark. Sharing the same lot, distressed, faded letters read "Children's Ward." God had given me the duty of visiting that particular ward, scared and as unequiped as I felt I stepped forward into that place. Spread out on unclean, no longer white...
