Hello, My Name Is…

This is me and my sister, Bethany. I’m on the left!  Hello Friends!  Wow. 20 days. That’s all I can think about. I can’t tell you how excited, nervous, anxious, and eager I am to meet all of my team and furthermore how honored I feel to be able to serve alongside of you. God has already been doing absolutely amazing things and I know that this is just the beginning. Really, wow is all I can say.  My name is Anna Luzader (its like saying “ladder” Snoop...

Onward Journey

So your Real Lifer has been home for a short while now… How’s it been? Is it just what you expected?   Did they run into your arms at the airport and give you the biggest hug ever?   Or did they walk up kind of cool and seem somewhat excited to be home? Did you expect them to be so thrilled to be home and want to tell you ever little detail? Have they shared their stories with you? Do they seem a little strange?  Less put together than how you sent them out? Have you questioned whether or not they should have even gone to Kenya? Re-entry into the...

Traveling Home

Most parents should have received this update via email, but because several email addresses bounced back, we’re including it here as well:   We know many of you are aware of the recent volcano eruption in Iceland and the effect this is having on flights through Europe.  Unfortunately, our Real Life teams in Kenya and India are scheduled to fly through Amsterdam and London this weekend.  We are in regular communication with our travel agent and both airports are currently open.  Since all participants do currently have seats, they should not be bumped from any of...

Kwaheri Kenya

The thought crossed my mind the other night that usually churches send out teams on the field for 1 or 2 weeks at a time. As our trip is coming to an end, I can’t get my mind off of the fact that I am coming home soon. But what if I was coming out here for just these last two weeks or week? I would be charged up, ready to fight and to stand in truth like no other. Thinking this has transformed my perspective on this last stretch. Who does God want me to love for him today? What divine appointment does God have set up for me this week? Will I have my eyes peeled ready to take...

My Last Blog: What It All Comes Down To

As the days spent in Kenya begin to quickly disappear I am lost in emotions. I feel sad by having to say goodbye to all the amazing Kenyans I know call my family. But at the same time I am so happy and blessed that the Lord has brought them into my life, if only for a season. I know that saying goodbye to my teammates and leaders will be a very hard thing to do, something I’m not looking forward to. Does anyone? I have lived with this family for three months, we’ve all cried, gotten frustrated, and at some points just wanted to go home. I have also seen so much change in each...
