Grace.

Hello family, friends, readers, commenters, and strangers! Whew, what a week it has been, and then again I can’t believe its been a week! Time is flying by and we don’t have much time left here in the Ken-Y-A! Last week I was processing a lot of things that have been going on in my walk with God and this week God showed up! During prayer time God just showed me that its okay to not know whats going to happen in the future. He let me know it is okay that I am frustrated and that I don’t like where I am in my walk with Him. Something that I’ve learned here is that its...

Love Lessons

“The giving of love is an education in itself.“      Eleanor Roosevelt    Dearest Family, Friends and loyal Followers of Team Kenya:    Jumbo from Africa! I sincerely apologize for being so awful at writing blogs! I’m definitely going to working on that! So be patient, more are on the way 🙂       Anyway, after the hectic pace of our first two weeks here, my team and I are finally getting into a routine in Kajibe. Putting the Pieces Together

Week #2: 9-27-2010Our team and family Putting the Pieces Together     Surprisingly, it’s about the women here. Though the majority of the population would disagree. Intimacy in Kenya!

Hello from Kenya! I had a difficult time deciding what to write my blog about this week.  I really wanted to share what we have been doing at the school, hospital, and IDP camp but I feel like God is telling me to share what he has been teaching me.  It seems like intimacy with God and pursuing God continually come up during group discussions, devotionals, and reading books.  Most recently I was reading in the book of Matthew (20: 29-34) the story about two blind men.  In the story it explains that Jesus was waking by where two blind men were sitting. Both knew who...

My thoughts on Team Awkward.

These past couple of weeks have been very difficult for me physically and spiritually. I knew that I was going to go through stuff eventually, but I was kind of hoping God would overlook me…. silly Lizzie. God doesn’t do that!! So, today as I am still processing a lot of God things, I wanted to share some facts and random thoughts about my teammates with all of you!. 🙂 Hannah. She is such joy, she knows how to make people laugh and doesn’t mind wearing the most ridiculous outfits ever. I love it. I also have so many pictures of her craziness. Nick. Always has the...
