To Be A Child

To be a child:

To be a child around the world is different than you may think of a childhood. Some people think of Childhood as the best times of their lives but for some or should I say many they are involved in these six areas:

    And each one starts off with this To Be a Child: 1. is to Live in Aids, Watch parents die of Aids and be born with Aids. 2. is to live on the streets.. Just a bit of statistics is that 100 million children live on the streets and are abused, neglected, and/ or live in poverty. Poverty being less than 2 dollars a day. 3. is to work. "Child Laborers" – 200 million statistically. 4. is to be Sexually Exploited – 10 million children- this includes Sex trade tourism- this is a multi million industry, where children are taken and high class men are having sex with Children.  This sex trade also includes Forced Prostitution and Child Pornography. 5. is to be Victimized by war., with this to be a child is to fight for your life in someone elses war. and 6. is to be a girl child and is to know discrimination because of gender. 60-100 million girls have gone missing every year for about 10 years. Do you see something wrong with this.. I do…

    So your probably wondering why is she telling me all this and what is the reasoning behind these topics and statistics? Well here it is, to be close to God you need to have a heart for God because God loves the poor and you can't take poor out of the word. God walked along side the poor. And to have Gods heart is to have a heart for the poor and to be intimate with God is to have Gods heart. I was listening to a sermon when I heard all these statistics.I want to declare that I want to be intimate with God. I want to walk along side him in making a difference. I sit here in Busia, Kenya and say to you today, That I am going to make a difference with Orphans and I am going to support orphans myself, I am going to work with young girls and women who are choosing prostitution because they live on the streets and have nothing to turn to and don't know the love of God. And I am going to take it another step and say not just in this country but I am going to go to Thailand and help girls come out of sex trafficking and make something of themselves and show them Gods love and how just having a relationship with him can change everything. This blog is not about me and what I am going to do but it is about what you are going to do …. Do you want to sit and continue letting this happen, do you want to be the one that everytime an orphan commercial comes on you turn the channel, do you want to watch the news and see that another child is missing, Do you want to see children being taken into hostage to kill their families or be used for sex?
