When asked what time it is people will say the time of the day. realizing that they are most likely late for something or other. Our world is always worried about time. and how much they still need to do before the end of the day. We are always running from one place to another. when the day is finally done we realize and question, where our day has gone? since it may feel as if nothing has been accomplished. Than when we are ready to sleep we realize that we have forgotten to talk to God throughout the day. there just wasn't enough time in the day. We promise ourselves that we'll do a quick devotion tomorrow and fall asleep.
Doing Door-to-door ministry for the past month and here in Kararti has been a great challange for me. We approch a house and start a conversation with the person. In most cases they know the gospel and go to church, but they have never made that personal choice to accept Jesus as there Savior and Lord. We ask questions and try and find the root of what is holding them back and the answere is, " Its not my time yet. " They say that Jesus will let them know and show them when the time is right. We shoe them verses that say we don't know when Jesus is coming we need to be ready everyday. they than say that they will do it Sunday at church. they give excuse after excuse on why the time isn't right for them. That is really hard to see that they know Christ and still refuse him.
Even we as Christians have excuses on why we don't spend more time in the word of God and do our daily devotion. We don't take time to build our relationship with our heavenly father. THere are always other timgs more important and we make our lives so busy with worldly things. That only on sunday morning we take time for Him. This makes me wonder if we are any different than those who haven't accepted Jesus. We have accepted him but we don't take time out of our busy schedule to get to know Jesus more.
