Hello everyone! I wrote the following blog while waiting in the Atlanta airport. It seems a bit obselete now since that was ages ago but, what the heck, I’ll share it anyway 🙂
“Today, we embark upon the Great Crusade, towards which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you! The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march with you. The tide is turning!…And I beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.”
– Dwight D. Eisenhower, June 6th 1944
Today is the day; today we begin our journey!! The sense of nervous excitment is practically tangible as we wait for our flight. Although it may seem overly dramatic to some, I feel the above quote from General Eisenhower’s D-Day address applies to me and my teammates. Like the brave soldiers of that historic event, we have planned, prayed and prepared for this day for months.
And with God’s grace and power surrounding us we are ready! We are ready to free the people of Kenya from the oppressive darkness of sin. The victory of Christ is at hand! “The tide is turning”…
Your prayers are our literally our armour, our strength. Keep em’ coming! 🙂
God Bless,
Colleen Belbey
