So, Here In Kenya we are living in an incredible house- so much different from what I had expected. Running water, rooms to sleep in, a nice living room, but at night the bugs and such do come out. So the other night one of the girls and I were out late talking outside and we finally come in around 1am. So I am getting ready for bed- getting my mosquito net around me and getting it all situated when I hear a weird noise. I look up and there is a bat in our room and it is going crazy. This bat is hitting walls and doors and then it finally flies out of our room. So I think it is gone and I climb out of my mosquito net to close the door so it cannot get back in and then I look up. The bat is now hanging upside down on the twine we are using to hang up our mosquito nets. At this point I am not quite sure what to do- do I leave it in our room since we are all underneath mosquito nets (but if I do that one of the girls might wake up and see it and start to scream) or do I try and get it out of the house. So luckily one of the girls was still up and we were debating what to do when we just woke up one of our amazing men of God 🙂 The first one was terrified of bats so he woke up another guy who just started to laugh when we told him there was a bat in our room. I was laughing the whole time and it was just funny. So the men rose to the challenge and finally got the bat out of our room and out of the house 🙂 It was just a funny night and a fun story to share 🙂
