Picture Time!

I promised people back home that I would be taking a lot of pictures, but I’ve been slacking on posting them on the blog! I have so many I want to put up, but my camera battery died before I could get them all copied. Here are just a few pictures from the trip so far. There will be more later!!

This is a woman and her three children (there is a baby on her back)
that we visited while staying with the Maasai in the Rift Valley.

Amos, the pastor of the church in the valley, was busy two weeks out of the month going to Bible college. He has a wife and 4 children, and has a wonderful heart for God and for the people of the Maasai tribe. Helen (above) is his oldest girl and became my friend the first day we were there. You should see this beautiful girl dancing and praising God! I miss these people so much.

This is a picture of Evalyn, Pastor Amos’s youngest daughter, proud of the broken sunglasses one of the girls gave her the last day we stayed with them. She sings just as loud and beautifully as her older sister.

The children in the valley had no toys, and rarely had a ball to play with. Most of the time you would see them kick around a trash bag that had been balled up and tied together with rope. They live simple but joyful lives!

Back in Kijabe, the children in the school right below the church were playing soccer one day with the guys from our group. They LOVE when you take out your camera and they get to see themselves.
This little guy is about four years old. We are constantly surrounded by children here. It’s great 🙂

Thank you so much for checking the blog! Extra batteries are coming with me next week. Promise.

Please continue to keep our team in your prayers. Pray that those of us that have been sick will continue to recover, and that we can take time to rest, both physically and spiritually. Also pray that we will receive direction in the ministries we are involved in, and that we will seek His will constantly in whatever we are doing.

God Bless!
Mandy
