As our time here in Kenya is coming to an end, and I probably won’t be able to write another blog post, I thought I would end on a story that has truly changed the way I view God!
A few weeks ago I met Amos, in the Bethany Kids wing of the hospital. I was handing out Chi and just kept going about my business. In the afternoon I was able to go back and visit with him and find out more about him. It turns out that he had broken his leg and the boarding school he was at didn’t tell his mom for about a month causing him to not be able to go and get it fixed. He said that he had to have surgery and so I prayed that God would be with him and that he would be healed, even if that meant that he didn’t have to have surgery. Then, last Wednesday I went back to find Amos and asked him how his surgery was. He immediately started smiling and said “I didn’t have to have surgery, the bones have gone back together. God healed me” I literally started JUMPING UP AND DOWN! MY GOD is healer!!!!!! He healed Amos!!! Oh my goodness, the other people in the room must have thought this crazy white person was going insane. But I knew and Amos knew the real reason that I was jumping!!! Oh man, I seriously couldn’t stop smiling!!! I saw Amos yesterday and he told me he is being released on November 15th, so I will be able to see him a couple more times before we leave..
I know this was a short post, but GOD is a HEALER!!! oh my goodness… God seriously can’t amaze me anymore.
