Three days of training camp and I’ve been given a new family. From the moment my teammates stepped out of their prospective vehicles and sat down in a circle at the Chattanooga airport we have been united to one cause, one purpose, that is, to become more Christ-like in every possible way.
I am overwhelmed time and time again by how intent the 15 of us are on serving the Lord by demonstrating genuine love to one another and the people of Kenya who we haven’t even met yet. Whether its cleaning up after each other, sharing food or being painfully transparent, we are day by day building up this family that God has called us to. Because of this, I have no doubts that we will be able to see incredible things happen in Kijabe, Kenya through the power of God! Our unity and commitment to “esteem one another better than [ourselves]” is going to show Kenya the goodness of the Lord and the fullness we have in Christ.
Though these past few days have been long and challenging, I am more excited than ever to be getting on a plane and making my way to Kenya in 2 hours!
I’ll give you a shout from Kenya! See you in 7 weeks!
