Who doesn't want to see a miracle? What is a miracle to you? Giving sight to the blind.. hearing to the deaf. Of course those are the miracles I "expected" to see and wittness. But no… I have not experienced those.
What I have experienced though is God transforming lives. I'v experienced walking into a mud hut and feeling the presence of the Lord. I have experienced seeing children who have NOTHING… have EVERYTHING. I have looked into eyes of unexplainable joy that obviously comes from the Lord.
Four other teammates and myself walked into the yard of Cecelia. She teared up as she told us her story. Her husband had just died and she has four children. One of them has been sick for months. She has no family and is worried about being able to provide for her family. She could not sleep because of awful nightmares and the feeling of lonliness. She was laying on the ground weeping by the end of this. It broke our hearts.
The lord used us to speak love and hope to her. Cecelia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. We prayed over her and invited her to church. Cecelia went to almost every fellowship we had… she went to church on Sunday and even joined us for dinner one night. I look at Cecelia and see a light in her eyes. She has a new glow… she has been made new. She can now sleep and does not feel lonly as much beacuse she knows God is with her always. God loves. God has the power to transform lives.
A miracle.
I have learned to see people as the Lord sees them. We are all children of God. Everyone deserves to hear about the love of their Father. The same God that gives me joy gives them joy. its amazing that these people have next to nothing yet again they have everything. Beacuse after all… the LORD is all you need.
