My home is heaven because that is where my heart is. This thought dawned on me the other night. I mean I had thought about it before, but it hit me in a new way. My home is heaven! It does not matter where in the world I am. I am not really any more at home in the United States than I am in Kenya.
Sure “my family” lives in the United States but really I have family everywhere. I am part of God’s family, and I am continually meeting more family members. I rejoice when a new brother or sister is born into the family by surrendering their old life and being born again. In the same way that we love and care for our own family members, God has called us to love and care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. So as long as I am with a Christian then I am with family.
The Lord continually blows my mind. He has created everything so perfectly. I know that I cannot wait to be home in heaven with my Father but until then I will go where ever He tells me. I know that God has a better plan for my lie than I could ever imagine.
I look forward to the party we will have together in heaven! I hope and pray that I see all of you there. I promise it will be better than anything this world has to offer because I serve an amazing God!
Philippians 3:20-4:1
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.
Please pray for us as we will venture to Northern Kenya on Saturday. We will be spending two weeks sharing the gospel with a tribe there. Please pray that God will use us to bring more people into the family!
