Whew, what a week it has been, and then again I can’t believe its been a week! Time is flying by and we don’t have much time left here in the Ken-Y-A! Last week I was processing a lot of things that have been going on in my walk with God and this week God showed up! During prayer time God just showed me that its okay to not know whats going to happen in the future. He let me know it is okay that I am frustrated and that I don’t like where I am in my walk with Him. Something that I’ve learned here is that its okay to not be content in my walk with God, because if we are content then we can’t grow and be on a deeper level with Him. So… that is just a little rambling about what God is showing me and how I am processing. Next, I would like to tell you a story of a women named Grace.
One day, a beautiful mother of three was out shopping at the market. After a while Grace and her adorable two year old started on their way home to meet her other children and husband. While riding along the craziest thing happened. The driver lost control and Grace was ejected from the car. The impact was so grand she immediately broke both of her legs and got burns on her upper legs and arms. In a great deal of pain she immediately started searching for her two year old. Ambulances fled to the scene and Grace still couldn’t find her child. The ride to the Kijabe hospital was unbearable. When Grace arrived to the hospital she found out that her baby didn’t make it and died instantly. One week later, Grace was able to get surgery and has now entered the healing process. Unsure when we will be released Grace remains hopeful and continues to smile all the time. Grace does enjoy when people pray for her, so if you think about it, say a prayer for Grace and her family.
I know this isn’t the most uplifting story, but Grace turned to God when all this happened, and that is what we all should do. Turn to God!
Until next time.
