I have enjoyed very much being a part of all these peoples lives so far for these short two months. My name is Jonathan Beckman and I am the leader, along with Logan, for the Kenya, Mombasa (Mpeketoni) trip. I was on the World Race, an 11 month trip with Adventures In Missions (AIM), prior to this trip. I was at the end of my race, in the last month before going home, when I decided to lead with AIM for this trip now. It was a tough decision to make because I knew that I wouldn't be able to spend a lot of time back home with my family and friends, but I considered the alternative; AIM needed male leaders, if I didn't go then there wouldn't be one.
I flew into the Dallas airport the morning of May 12th after final debrief and spent the entire day there, alone for the first time in almost a year, waiting for another flight home due to my scheduled flight being canceled. I got to spend almost three weeks with my family and friends at home, resting and catching up before leaving again for leader training.
This didn't give me much time to do any support raising for this trip. I had a little left over in my account from the World Race, and one of my supporters from the race continued to support me for this trip; but I'm still not fully funded, so I'm asking for help. Will you please consider supporting me financially for this trip?

Thank you all so much for giving up what is most important to you; your son or daughter, family member or friend. I promise they are growing in new ways they may not have thought possible. They are learning so much and it really is my joy to be here with them in this time of the Lord working in and through them in big ways. I encourage you also to continue learning in the absence of your friends and family members, the Lord wants to teach you things through this also.
