I came to camp expecting to build a relationship with my teammates, grow closer to God, and to have fun. Much to my delight this is exactly what has happened.
Since the time that we meet at the airport, my teammates and I have spent nearly every minute together laughing and getting to know each other. It has been cool to me that although we have never meet before we have very quickly become a family. It is only possible because of our shared love of Christ and our heart to serve the people of Kenya. I am so excited for the months ahead as we continually live with each other in community.
Learning to live in community is one of the things that I have learned a lot about in training camp along with the importance and power of prophecy. All of the things that we have done and heard have helped me grow closer to God and prepared me for the monthes ahead.
This past week the joy of the Lord has been evident in this place. I have had so much fun worshiping, being strenghtened by fellow believers, and being loved by God. There is definetly joy in being around people that genuinely love the Lord.
I'm so excited to board the plane to Kenya tomorrow. I cannot wait to see what God has planned for us. I know that it will be an amazing and stretching time for all. Kenya here I come!
