Blessed

Training camp so far has been a great experience for me. I just wanna update you guys on a couple things the Lord has really been putting on my heart these past couple of days. One of the biggest things Hes taught me is that my past doesnt define who I am as person and wont have control over my life.  I'm not going to let things of the past hover over me like a dark cloud. I am his child and He pours his grace, kindness, mercy and love aroud me each and everyday. For a long time in my life i always that when situations occur and i dont hear from the Lord that he wasnt there helping...

What did I get myself into!?!

Habari friends! (Thats "hello" in Swahili if you were wondering) I am here at training camp at Toccoa Falls college in Georgia and i am drinking the best sweet tea i have EVER had! There are 14 different teams here being trained to be sent to the mission field in anywhere from Peru to New Zealand. I have 23 people on my Kenya team and our team by far has the most fun and we laugh the most so I think we are off to a great start! I have already had so many great advetures such as a bonfire, campout with my whole team, surrender hike, dance off and hammock time. The worship times...

KENYA bound tomorrow!

After much anticipation, I finally arrived in Atlanta, Georgia on June 1st for the Passport training camp.  There are over 200 participants going all over the world so I was thankful that we all had to wear team colors which made it easy to spot and meet others.  All of my teammates have been very nice and are a lot of fun to be around.  I am definitely looking forward to getting to know each of them over these next two months!  (There are 23 of us..19 girls and 4 guys!) On the first full day of training camp our team leaders were told to act like a tribe that didn't...

Kenya, here we come!

I’ve been at Toccoa Falls College (middle of nowhere) for the past 3 days for training camp and I couldn't ask for anything better.  My team consists of 19 girls and 4 boys.  Our team is EXTREMELY loud (so I fit right in), goofy, and so full of laughter.  I was really nervous about meeting my teammates and the awkward moments that would lie ahead as we got to know each other but I have never become so close to so many people in such a short time.  I can feel God’s presence within our team and how His love just pours out of each team member. ...

The day has begun

Hello All! So My Adventure is just beginning as we put a slow end to training camp. Although we have only been here for 3 days it feels like forever! So many things that we have done like Chapel and Awesome worship time! I realized its been almost a year since Ive had Crazy awesome singing time to God. It was very enjoyable and thats one thing I want to continue when I get back. Well, we have heard stories about the places were going, learned a little language and had an awesome cuddle party under the tarp one night. It was very exciting with the 23 of us having a sleepover but then we all...

One Word

Training camp has been awesome so far.  One word to describe this week: EXCITEMENT!  As a leader this is my second time in a training camp, and even though I'm learning a lot of the same things, I still have a ridiculous amount of enthusiasm and excitement in my bones. If life on the field in Kenya is going to be anything like training camp has been, this is going to be a season full of energy.  God has been faithfully showing up and using worship and prayer to build me up with anticipation at the amazing things He is going to do this summer. I don't know what these...
