Made it Safely

We just spoke with the team leaders and they've all arrived safely in Kenya. They are in route to their ministry site via some very long bus rides and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

A God’s Eye View

On Friday, I flew to our training camp, which was a flight from Cleveland, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia. I haven't flown since 7th grade and I was overcome by the beauty that is our God. I tend to "get used to" the beauty that I am around on a daily basis and God reopened my eyes as we landed in Atlanta. When the plane took off from Cleveland, if was pouring rain. Honestly, I was disappointed. I wanted to be able to watch the city grow faint as I peered out the window. But, the Lord knew what was in store for me and He knew what He was about to teach me. Amazingly Awkward

The past few days have been an intersting mix of awkward and amazing. Freedom at Training Camp!

This week has been so good and rewarding. For many of us here worship has been a new experience. I am losing my voice from all the shouting and singing. It is so free and awesome.  We have not been learning much about Kenya specifically, so I am really excited to get there and finally experince it for myself.  For the past few weeks I have been workin on surrendering to God all of my fears and anxieties, and completely trusting and finding total peace in Him. I got so much help and encouragement these past few days surrenduring those fears that I was holding on to. One of my...

Blessed

Training camp so far has been a great experience for me. I just wanna update you guys on a couple things the Lord has really been putting on my heart these past couple of days. One of the biggest things Hes taught me is that my past doesnt define who I am as person and wont have control over my life.  I'm not going to let things of the past hover over me like a dark cloud. I am his child and He pours his grace, kindness, mercy and love aroud me each and everyday. For a long time in my life i always that when situations occur and i dont hear from the Lord that he wasnt there helping...

Kenya, here we come!

I’ve been at Toccoa Falls College (middle of nowhere) for the past 3 days for training camp and I couldn't ask for anything better.  My team consists of 19 girls and 4 boys.  Our team is EXTREMELY loud (so I fit right in), goofy, and so full of laughter.  I was really nervous about meeting my teammates and the awkward moments that would lie ahead as we got to know each other but I have never become so close to so many people in such a short time.  I can feel God’s presence within our team and how His love just pours out of each team member. ...
