Night in Atlanta

Eventually we all choose between what’s right and what’s easy. This is so true and are now the words that my team members wear on their shirts. The easiest thing to do is nothing, but we are ALL called to follow the Great Commission. Matthew 28:16-20 “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authroity in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of...

The Forgotten

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. – Luke 11:13   I have never see the Holy Spirit move so much as I have in the past four days.  It’s not becuase He doesn’t move, but because we are so focused on ourselves that we forget to ask Him to move in our hearts.  It has been so amazing to see the spiritual gifts that some of these people here have been blessed with and how they are trying to master the gift that God has given...

The Holy Spirit’s Glue

Long story short…I missed my first flight Monday morning. Everything worked out just fine and I was able to catch a later flight. As I flew into the Atlanta airport, I could only wonder what my team was doing. Were they still in the airport? Had they left for training camp? The first few hours seemed so important to me when meeting my team, I was worried I had missed some of the team bonding God would. After a smooth flight I headed over to grab my luggage and find the atrium to meet up with everyone. Upon arriving I was so thankful to see that the groups had not left the airport...

The Power of the Lord’s Voice

Before I begin, I want to say that this first blog entry won’t be perfect or a masterpiece but it’s real and it’s from the heart. I have learned so much about who God is through others here at training camp. The first night of our training camp teams had to experience what homeless life was like. During our journey my team came upon a man walking by himself. The first thing that struck me was the smile on this man’s face. As we stood shivering and began talking to this man I felt as if God was trying to talk to me. The man began saying how, although it was 1:30 in...

Training!!!!

It’s only Wednesday and I have so many stories but because of time I’m just going to tell you about my crazy first day. I wish I could tell you about everything that’s going on with the team and how much we are growing together but the word that we found that describes us is “dangerous”. You may find that weird but our group has so much potential to fully serve God and I know everybody will have a purpose. We know that there are no limits with God and He is going to use us in so many ways. Well, I landed in the Atlanta airport at 1:30 p.m. on Monday the...
