A God’s Eye View

On Friday, I flew to our training camp, which was a flight from Cleveland, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia. I haven't flown since 7th grade and I was overcome by the beauty that is our God. I tend to "get used to" the beauty that I am around on a daily basis and God reopened my eyes as we landed in Atlanta.
When the plane took off from Cleveland, if was pouring rain. Honestly, I was disappointed. I wanted to be able to watch the city grow faint as I peered out the window. But, the Lord knew what was in store for me and He knew what He was about to teach me.
So graciously, God revealed Himself to me as we landed in Atlanta. The clouds let up and as we got closer to the ground, I was able to recognize the unfathomable love and glory of God in a whole new way.
I gawked as I noticed how the cars on the ground looked like the ones I used to put my Barbies in. Their motion seemed almost effortless. I strained to comprehend how the streets and houses were placed so perfectly in an ever-ending flowing system.
I realized in that moment that this is the scene God sees when He looks into our lives. It's absolutely amazing! Even though we might be on the ground complaining about the slow motion, or confused about where the road is winding, God knows exactly what it looks like!
I'm imagining Him sitting on His throne, moving and placing everything exactly where He wants it. As if we were Barbies and Monopoly pieces. Man, are we ever so lucky! Our loving, incredible Father is placing everything right where He wants it for our own good.
He's already started on this team, in me, and in Kenya…now it's our turn to go, get off the plane and fulfill the placement He has perfectly planned.
