10 First Time Experiences In Africa
1. African Baby Shower (The baby was already nine months old…)
2. Almost getting attacked by a hippo on a boat safari
3. Driving with 12 people in a 6 person matatu(van) for 20 mins.
4. Getting a tattoo
5. Not showering for 8 days
6. Sitting in an 4 1/2 hour African church service not understanding a single word (The whole service is in Swahili)
7. Being kissed by a drunken, African woman (against my will)
8. Babysat a little boy, all day, who does not speak one word of English
9. Sleeping in a tent for 3 weeks (EXTREME camping!)
10. Walking 15 miles in one day to see hippos in the lake (we didn't see the hippos)
All these things are more than worth it when I am able to wake up every single morning knowing that Kenya, Africa is EXACTLY where God wants me to be right now. So basically….I LOVE KENYA! 🙂
