Ok, so I am not the best at keeping up with this blog and for that I apologize to all of you. I am (and I know Hannah is as well) to meet all of you and serve along side of you in Kenya. I know its going to be absolutely amazing!
This is my third trip with Real Life and ironically, it is the third trip I have lead this year. I say this because I have learned a few things that you may want to get or take note on before you head down in five days.
**Last Minute items**
—Electrolyte drinks packets. You know like Crystal Lite, Gaterade, or Hawaiian Punch. These are great for times when it is really hot or when you feel dehydrated. They also make bland water taste, slightly better.
—Pills/Medication. You will probably want pills for diarrhea, allergies, headaches, and/or aches and pains. I am not going to sugarcoat anything, ethnic food has the tendency to produce runs.
**Packing**
–Try packing you bag in the next 24 hours. If you have a bagpack, try walking around with it on. If you have a rolly-suitcase (I hate these bags so much!), walk them around. After you do this, see what you can eliminate. We honestly overpack, its our natural tendency. See what you do without.
–Also check the packing list again for those items you might of forgot, i.e., journals, writing utensils, etc. Also see what items it tells you NOT TO BRING.
On a side not, this is why I hate rolly suitcases. Its from Arad, Israel, circa three months ago.
