Valley of Dry Bones

Hello thy good and faithful, I mean patient readers.

We are back in Kijabe!! These past couple weeks have been life changing, and also full of so many things to process! I am still processing things from the Massai Tribe! Bare with me, I’ve got a lot to say today.

Last Friday we packed up our van once again and headed down into the Great Rift Valley to live with the Turkana Tribe. On our way down I felt very uncomfortable and sick to my stomach. I wasn’t exactly sure what was going on until later when Hannah had asked if anyone had a weird feeling because she had one as well, and I realized what I was feeling was just a sense of the surrounding area. I had taken it upon myself, unknowingly, to feel what the people were feeling at the time. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, but God was using me so I wasn’t going to get mad!

Once we arrived we were told that we were going to go on a prayer walk. At first I was very hesitant because I have never done one of those before and I wasn’t sure that God was going to speak to me and that I might just have to make something up. I was 100% wrong though! As soon as Sarah, Ryan, Nick and I started walking, God showed up! I felt this overwhelming presence and I was so pumped! I just started laughing because it was like God was standing right next to me whispering these things into my ear. He showed me things like our team was walking into a Valley of Dry Bones and was speaking life over so many people and causing the dead in spirit and dead in flesh to come alive in Him. Other people had felt like a fire was going to fall down or the spirit was going to awaken people, or the phrase “come out of hiding” was being shown a lot. It was just amazing to see how God speaks to everyone in different ways. It truly is amazing when you learn to listen to the Lord’s voice! I’ve never felt anything like it in my life!

When we all met back up again we were able to share what God was saying to each one of us and they were all different, but a lot of us had the same message. I think that because we went on a prayer walk and God did show up, it gave us a better sense of what we were going to do this next week. God was really starting to stir our spirits and it makes me super excited!!

Lizzie. 🙂
