Rose a woman who always has a smile and just encourages me to be happier all the time. She has a joy about her that most people don't have and she has gone through so much in her life. Rose has been in the hospital for more than month now. Her story is sad but also very touching at the same time. In 2005 Rose, her husband and three children were sleeping in there house. When her husbands second wife came and poured gas all over there house and set it on fire, all because she was jealous of Rose. Rose's three children all died in the fire, her husband suffered minor burns but she wasn't so lucky. Her face and upper body were badly burnt. She did recieve treatment at the state hospital but her arms were not healed completly. The lower part of her arm was stuck to the upper part of her arm, and both her arms had been in this position till she came her to Kijabe hospital. Now she has both of her arms in a cast and they had to take skin from her legs to graph her ars. But aving been through all of this she has forgiven the wman who did this to her family. She forgave.
the first time my team saw her we didn't know her story , we tried to find out what happened but had trouble because of the language, so we prayed for Rose. That same day we saw her sitting outside holding a baby and talking to a woman. i walke over to them and found a woman who was willing to translate for us. I found out that it was her baby who had been born last year in December and her friend is now taking care of it till she is out of the hospital. She comes to the hopsital as often as she can so Rose can see her beautiful little girl.
Everytime i go to the hospital for ministry i stop by and say hi to Rose, just to see how she is doing and if anything has changed. Going to see her and recieving a hug from her makes my day. We sit and communicate the best we can or find a person willing to translate for us. Rose is doing well her arms are healing and will soon be able to go home, if the continus to improve. The joy that i feel when i am around her is hard to find from people in the hospital. Rose has forgiven and is walking in the peace that Jesus has offered each of us.
