I've always known that God works miracles but I never thought I would be witness to ones as tangible as what is happening here. Throughout the week we had been going to the hospital to pray and talk with the patients. On Wednesday the group that I was with was going through the men's surgical ward. At the very end of the ward we came to a room where a man was lying unconcious with his wife by his side. The wife explained to us that the man had suffered from a stroke and was now in a coma. She told us how difficult it was because she was unable to be home with her children while she took care of him and how her family now how no one to provide for them. As she told her story I could see how broken and devastated she was. They were both believers and she had faith that Jesus could heal her husband but she was just desparate to have her family back together. As we prayed for the man and his family the woman tearfully prayed with us. After we were done I wanted to comfort the woman further but I trusted that the Lord was taking care of her. The next day we went back to visit the woman. As soon as we entered the room I was overcome with the feeling of joy. The man was sitting up and greeting us! The woman's face was one of the happiest I've ever seen. Here was a man that had been in a coma only hours before and a woman who had been clinging onto what little hope she had and now they were both shining with the light of Christ. It was an amazing sight to see. I'm still amazed and humbled by the ways the Lord works. The faith of the woman and the fact that He heard her crys and answered them is such a beautiful testiment to how good the Lord is.
