After much anticipation, I finally arrived in Atlanta, Georgia on June 1st for the Passport training camp. There are over 200 participants going all over the world so I was thankful that we all had to wear team colors which made it easy to spot and meet others. All of my teammates have been very nice and are a lot of fun to be around. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know each of them over these next two months! (There are 23 of us..19 girls and 4 guys!)
On the first full day of training camp our team leaders were told to act like a tribe that didn't speak any English so we could practice communicating with other cultures. Many of us got spit on and were forced to eat grass during this. We also had a team dance off which was a lot of fun. After that, we were given two tarps and three ropes and told we needed to go build a shelter for our team to sleep in that night. This was a great bonding experience but we got no sleep with 23 of us crammed together on one tarp in the freezing cold.
On the 2nd full day of camp we began with worship like we do every morning and evening. I enjoy these times a lot because over 200 of us that hardly knew eachother all gather together for the same reason.
During training camp we are busy almost every minute of the day but we are all getting anxious to go to Kenya! We leave tomorrow!!!

God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
