3 Year Old Year Worshiper

Kevin is the most beautiful, little African boy I have met in Kijabe. His heart is so content, and he brings laughter everywhere he goes. His big brown eyes are so compassionate. This morning we were all sitting down writing in our journals and spending time with our Heavenly Father, and in the door walks our favorite 3 year boy, Kevin. One of the girls on my team was playing the guitar and Kevin ran over and started strumming the guitar the best he could and then he would laugh at himself and dance to the music. It was such a precious moment! Moments like this have been happening often since we arrived in Kenya two days ago, and I'm SO thankful!
The past two days we've been staying in the home of our contact, Pastor Simon and his sweet wife Margaret. There are also two girls, Jessica and RuthAnn, that are previous mission trip participants with Adventures in Missions(AIM), and now they are living and serving here in Kijabe. They have been showing us more about the country and its culture, and yesterday we were able to take a tour of the town of Kijabe! It is so incredibly beautiful here! We were able to see a huge volcano in Kijabe, and the power of God and His creation took my breath away. It's been exciting and joyful but also very trying and challenging adjusting to the African culture in which there is little to nothing that we are familiar with. Still, "we will praise the Lord because his love is better than life, therefore our lips will glorify the Him." Psalm 63:3     Tomorrow we're leaving for the Bush which is a remote part of Kenya. We won't have any electricity, and we'll be living in our tents inside a church next to the tribe.  The tribe we'll be living and loving on is the Massaai tribe, and we'll be with them for the next 2 weeks. Please be praying that God stirs up the hearts of this tribe so they are ready to hear the message and love of Jesus Christ when we come! My team and I have been praying the love of Jesus Christ over the Messaaii people. "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you" Isaiah 43: 1&4.
Please be praying for full health, unity, and compassion in our team as we leave for the Bush. Thanks you SO much for the prayers!!!
Love you all!
