Embrace Kenya with a sloppy wet kiss

Training camp has been pretty awesome. Its been a pretty busy 4 days also. From walking around Atlanta  praying for people to working as a team to paint a canvas depicted what we want to do in Africa, which is to embrace Kenya with a sloppy wet kiss. The refrence comes from my favorite worship song called How He Loves by John Mark Mcmillan . I love my team a ton. We all seem different but all click in some way.Im slowly learning slang from different states, somehow along the way I learned to say “you know” after almost everything when trying to explain something. I believe...

God is SO great!

AHHHHHH!!!! God is So Great! He has been rocking my world the past few days! I have been at training camp for the past few days and am headed out to Kenya in the morning (we are heading to the airport tonight actually). So God has been teaching me a lot. Two days ago as we entered out night session we were handed an egg. We were told to hang out to this egg all night until told differently. We then invited to pray a while a figure out the thing (or things) God wants us to surrender. We were handed markers and told to write the things we need to surrender on the egg. I wrote lots of...

Team Bonding In Georgia :)

Our team is an amazing blend of personalities and I know we are all really excited to grow our relationships with each other, our Kenyan friends, and God!  One of our team building tasks yesterday was to create a team mural for our trip. Designs were discussed and changed throughout the process, we chalked our final idea on the canvas and everyone started painting.  It was really cool just sitting back and watching our team work as one body to create something...

Everything has been amazing! i feel like I’ve been gone for weeks already but it’s one been a couple days! ..were not even in Africa yet!   My team is beautiful. I’m so excited to get out on the field and live it out with them. I just want unity so bad for our team and I really feel like God’s blessed us with that already. Everyone’s heart is so pure. Mr. Eddie Conely

I don’t have much time, so I’m going to try to make this quick! In the process of doing so I might skip a lot of details; bear with me! So, Friday afternoon I arrived in ATL. I met my team and figured we’d soon be heading to training camp. Instead we were given $20 and some instructions: get to the 89 Ellis Street, Atlanta GA. The task was simple, but exciting. The excitement of meeting of everyone in person for the first time, taking a train through the amazing city (Yes, I love the city, graffiti and all), and realizing I packed too much stuff as I trekked from location...
