God’s Not Finished With Me Yet

Now two months into this trip, God has blessed our team abundantly both in personal walks with Christ and with ministry. In the six weeks we've spend at the three different tribes, we've seen 100 people saved: 17 in the Maasai tribe, 16 in Kikuyu, and 67 in Pokot. With just one month of the trip remaining, we've had “double fruitfulness” prophesied over our team. Though we all realize this last month will fly by, God's not finished with us yet. Amazing things are coming to our team! Even as we head home, I know God will continue to use us all for His glory....

news from Team Kenya

I spoke briefly with the team leaders today.  The phone connection was very sketchy today and our conversation got cut off after only about 4 minutes.  But this is the update they have for you guys… -They're doing more door to door evangelism this week and really enjoying getting to speak hope and life into people. -They went to a local marke and really enjoyed that.  They were able to see local crafts from this tribe, the Pokot people and they loved it.    -They went back to the school this week.  Everyone is teaching different subjects. ...

news from the middle of nowhere

Hello family and friends of team Kenya, I wanted to let you know that I heard from the team leaders yesterday and give you a little update here on how the team is doing. The team is officially in the middle of nowhere in Central Kenya.  An 8 hour bus ride from Kijabe turned into an 11 hour journey.  I'm sure there are lots of funny stories to come about that transportation day.  The leaders had to hike 30 minutes up a hill to stand in the middle of a field in order to have barely enough phone signal to talk to me.  We were only able to talk for about 10 minutes and...

update from Kenya

We spoke with the team leaders today and they wanted us to pass along this update on how the team is doing.  They are still in the remote village with the Masaai tribe.  They will be returning to civilization (Kijabe) on Friday and should have internet access Saturday and/or Sunday before heading out to another village on Monday.  The team has been doing a ton of door-to-door evangelism everyday.  This requires at least 10km of walking a day, so they're getting plenty of exercise.  There's been a lot of fruit in this ministry.  They're in a place...

in Masaai land

We just spoke with the Kenya leaders.  They are out in the bush without internet access, but we thought we'd update you on how things are going out there until they can blog for themselves after September 23rd.  They are with the Masaai tribe in a remote village called Tangi-tatu.  The team is staying at the church that was estabilished there by our host.  The weather is warm during the days and pretty chilly at night.  The leaders said there is lots of layering of clothes being implemented each evening.  But besides the extreme weather, the team is loving...

team is safe

Many of you have heard about the pipeline explosion in Nairobi earlier today.  We just wanted to let you know that the team was not affected by this event, as they are several hours away from Nairobi in Masaai land.  They are doing ministry in a remote village for the next week or so.  Internet is sparse there, but we will be posting an update as we talk with them. Thanks, Passport Field Support team
