don’t worry momma.
God is good and i am well.
there is so much i want to say, but not much time and even if there were, words would not be enough. first of all, we have been so blessed. we are staying in a hostel, meaning beds and toilets and showers (not always water… but the Lord can use anything to teach) instead of tents and holes and hoses. we have our own cook named patrick. the food has been excellent and i love kenyan tea. the only bug bites i have are from a spider and chiggers from when we camped out at AIM headquarters in georgia. a big thank you to the sikes family for the oreganol! most of our time so far has been spent getting to know each other and the people who go to the church we are doing ministry with. everyone is really friendly and passionate for the Lord. we witnessed on the streets of nairobi. that was very challenging for me. such a new experience with lots of hard questions and thoughts. today we visited a school in the slums. such beautiful children. such a dirty place. the Lord is constantly reminding me that He is the only thing that remains and as humans, our only true hope and satisfaction, joy and peace comes through Him. i am falling more and more in love with Him each day. He is freeing me from my feelings of inadequacy through His love and grace. psalm 34
please pray for boldness. that the Lord will speak through me. i get so nervous and my mind goes blank often times when i’m put on the spot. pray that the Lord will continue to pour His love over me when the enemy tries to make me feel like a failure. pray that the change that happens in me will not leave. pray that the Lord will give me the wisdom i need to decide what to do when i get back to the states.
