This week we went to a boys school in Isinya; which was where 16 boys from troubled pasts have come and received an education and Bible classes/training. We got to hear some of their testimonies and how much they’ve grown as a result of knowing Christ. We also got to play futbol (soccer) with them! We only lost by one point-holla holla! We also helped them fetch water from a well like a half a mile away. I felt like a real African woman because I carried the bucket back on my head. It was exciting to just get to encourage them in their faiths and to let them know that we cared about them. We also saw ZEBRAS on our drive back! FINALLY!
Also two days ago, we went to visit a branch of ICC (the church we’re partnered with this summer) in Kitengela. We did one-on-one evangelism and invited them to the church. The church has been around for almost 2 years. Liz and I went out with some of the Kenyans; and none of the ones we were with had done one-on-one before so we were able to help and encourage them by taking the lead in evangelism. We were able to pray and share the Gospel with alot of people. I’m excited to see and hear about this church growing!
lots of love, peace&blessings,
🙂 claire
