Prayer works, y’all!!!

We have been in Mpekatoni for a few days now. Our days have been filled with ministry ranging from door to door evangelism, hospital visits, bible studies, sweeping dirt, cooking, loving on children, loving each other, and more. 3:30 AM comes early when the roosters are crowing. 8:30 PM comes late when we are all exhausted right after dinner. The heat and the humidity are not our friends. There are so many instances that could allow us to complain and pout. But, my family is not made up of just ordinary people. My family is strong and willing. When the heat didn’t stop us, when we pushed through the humidity and gave up our rights and expectations, when we overcame ourselves in a new environment the enemy knew that it would take more than that to touch us.

Sickness struck us the second day. My family didn’t miss a beat. We immediately started praying. We prayed for strength and endurance. We prayed for healing and unity. We prayed for power and joy. We didn’t give up. We didn’t become discouraged. A few days later, we are all together again. Everyone is feeling better and doing well. The power of Jesus Christ that is inside of each one of us proved itself mighty! God heard our cries. God saw our faith. The enemy knows that we are not easily shaken.

Nightmares and dreams of demons, restless sleep and unpleasant nights set in a few nights ago. We are being attacked in so many ways. The only solution we know to be true is prayer. Prayer works, y’all! Last night there were no dreams or visits from the enemy or his demons. Last night there was peace. Last night we slept well. Praise the Lord!
