I had a vision. God was sitting on his throne and lightening and thunder were crashing all around me. His holiness was overpowering. And then I(as a little girl) ran up to him and jumped into his lap. God was overjoyed and he started to tickle me and we both laughed together. He then just started to rock me as I sat in his lap. Love was surrounding both of us. He was pouring his love on me and I was giving it right back. I then looked up into his eyes, gave him a big smile, and slid off his lap to dance. God watched me, laughed, and had eyes that were full of love.
As I was dancing I realized that I had something in my pocket. It was something that I have surrendered countless times. But everytime I would surrender it I would pick it up when I thought he wasn't looking. As I stand there and pull it out of my pocket I realize that everytime I went to pick it back up God was peaking around the corner watching me. The realization of what I did hit me and I knew what I needed to do. It was time to go and tell my daddy what I had done and to fully let him have it.
I walked back towards him with my head hung low about to burst into tears and as I lift my head and look into his eyes I came undone. His eyes were full of the most purest love and I couldn't help but to break into tears. He lifts me up into his arms and just lets me cry. You see the thing that I pulled out of my pocket were my little girl dreams. I don't want to give them up but as I sat in his lap, tears pouring down my face, I opened up my hands to show it to God. He looks at me and says, "You know that I want to give you the desires of your heart but these dreams are not big enough. I have something better planned for you and I need you to trust me. In my timing and in my will I will give you something much much better."
As I continue to sit in his lap I realize that I have nothing left. I have nothing except God. And you know what… that is more then enough for me. In my daddy's lap is where I belong and it is my favorite place in the whole world.
