Monkeys
and Blessings
Kenya
has been amazing so far. The people are so awesome and so very kind.
God has given us way more than we need. We arrived thinking we would
be sleeping in tents but ended up in a secure compound (kind of like
dorms)with beds, a few miles away from the church. Also the church
has hooked with a awesome cook called Patrick, who is so humble and
can cook the best meals ever, needless to say we do eat very well. But
not only do we have a cook, not only do we have beds, we have monkeys
in our backyard. They are fun to watch, I’m such a white American,
because they are so common over here. My expectations were so low
coming into this trip, but God supplied us with more things than we
ever needed. Oh yeah we also have cold showers, you should try those
sometimes. I really feel drawn to the people here, and the culture
Is pretty sweet. Surprisingly a ton of Kenyans speak English, but we
have translators just in case. Our translators are such God filled
people willing to serve us and give us advice about culture and how
to say things in Swahili. We haven’t really started heavy duty
ministry yet, we have just watched a lot of World Cup
soccer(football) with the local Kenyans at the church. This week
starts the ministry part of it, so be praying for me. Im still so
pumped to be here in Nairobi, its such a HUGE blessing to be able to
go have away across to world to show people what Jesus is like.
I
love all you guys, thanks so very much for reading
Be
praying for me
