Ok, so I just lost y long blog I wrote cause the page exited and I only have a few minutes, so yall get the half-way decent short version. Africa is awesome and beautiful! We got to see and go through The Great Rift Valley which was incredible! The plane rides to here weren't too bad, but after 24 hours, I was happy to be done flying. The hostel we stayed in in Nairobi was incredible! We had hot showers, toilets, beds, and awesome food.. And I got fleas. Yay! I made my first African friend there, Dan, and I helped him sweep and he taught me Swahili. The second night we were here I was playing cards with some team mates when they dared me to go give some random guy his "fortune." Unlike me, I did and it turned out to be an awesome night. Me, Kim and Kayla got to go through the Gospel and answer some questions for hours. Although he didn't get saved, I believe God spoke to him through us and will continue working on him.
The bus ride to Busia was another 10 hours of travel but it wasn't too bad either. Africa rodes are just incredibly bumpy. I love Busia and the church we are working with. We definitely dropped it low in church yesterday morning while worshipping. Quite the experience lol. But I'm so excited for the nest few weeks and can't wait to start our ministry tomorrow. Keep praying for us! Oh, and squatty potties aren't too bad if you can find a remotely clean one with no bugs. But hey, This is Africa!!
