Ok,
My webmail doesn’t work in Kenya so I dont have a password for my AIM blog…. that means I’ll be posting under other people’s blogs… i hope you all find my disguised writing!
Kenya is amazing, these people are so hospitable and every has such a gentle heart. My highlight so far has been the worship. Worship here has been so genuine and truly beautiful. I am growing so much in my faith and these relationships are forming so fast. God has really been working though our team. The other day we went into the community and talked with people on the street about Jesus and invited them to watch the world cup at ICC. I met Anna, an older woman with beautiful deep eyes. She was sitting on a towel in the sun just looking out. Kelsey and I went over to talk to her. We explained the gospel to her and she started tearing up. We asked if we could pray with her to accept Jesus into her heart and she agreed. It was the first time I had every helped bring someone to Christ. Her smile is still stuck in my head and I’ve been praying for her. Please pray that God puts encouraging people in her life that she may grow in Christ. Pray for wisdom for her and pray that she is able to get connected to a church here in Nairobi. It’s really amazing and I wish I could explain more, but I don’t have many minutes left!
I love you Mom, Dad, Michael, Christina, Monica, Chris, Christopher, and Ava!!! And all my friends! I miss you, but I am really enjoying Kenya and I know this is where God wants me right now. Our team, again, is just so close and so encouraging. I’ve never experienced such a community as we have here. I hope to post pictures, but the computer access situation is not great… I’m not sure if I’ll be able.
Thank you for all of your support! It is such a blessing to be here! I’m getting kicked off the internet…..
PS you can send emails to ti_dbl_ger_er@hotmail.com but not vt.edu
LOVE YOU all!
