The first time I heard someone tell me that God spoke to them I truly thought it was a joke. How could God speak to us? I have never witnessed God speaking through my life.UNTIL, I was reminded in a session at training camp called,“God speaking,” that he speaks to us all the time, we just need to listen!
After the session, someone came up to me to tell me “God is speaking in your life, just listen.” That was the last day of training camp. Monday night we all gathered together to worship the God we serve. As I began to cry out to the Lord, Ruthann came to me and shared that the Lord spoke this to her “God is speaking to you Katie, I can see it so strongly on your chest. He wants you to listen.”
After week one of training camp and now starting my days in Kijabe, I have received conformation that God TRULY does speak into our lives. He is speaking so strongly in my life just after week one! Now my prayer is that God reveals what He is speaking to me.
God I pray that you give me open ears to hear your words. My heart is open for you to fill it with more of you. I pray that these next months will be changed forever. I pray for safety and good health. You are a God that make all things possible. You are our provider!
Ps. We arrived in Kijabe on Saturday night September 1st. Sunday morning we went to church in Kijabe and got to rest most of Monday. Today, Tuesday September 4th we are all leaving for the bush in Africa for 2 weeks. We will be staying in the Massaai tribe. The bush in Africa= not showering, no mirrors, squattie potties, baby wipe baths, and more carbs. Pray for safety, health, and open hearts!!!! We will be back around September 18th to shower and blog!
