AHHHHHH!!!!
God is So Great! He has been rocking my world the past few days! I
have been at training camp for the past few days and am headed out to
Kenya in the morning (we are heading to the airport tonight
actually). So God has been teaching me a lot. Two days ago as we
entered out night session we were handed an egg. We were told to hang
out to this egg all night until told differently. We then invited to
pray a while a figure out the thing (or things) God wants us to
surrender. We were handed markers and told to write the things we
need to surrender on the egg. I wrote lots of things but the main one
was to surrender my anxiety and fear about my health and this trip. I
wrote it on the egg and handed the egg over.
The
next morning we had a worship session. We were invited to just
present ourselves and our requests before God. I told God that if I
was really going to be able to surrender my fear and anxiety to Him I
needed to know that He had my back. That He would care for me. I
asked to to just make his presence known to me that morning.
During a song I got the chills and started to just tear up (two
things I don’t often do…) This was a sign to me that God was
present there right then. But of course being a stubborn and doubting
person I told God that I needed more. As I sat down to pray I just
kept asking for more of His presence so I would know for sure without
a doubt that he had me. Just then a teammate of mine, Taylor, reached
down and placed her hand on my back. This was the final sign that God
has me.
I
don’t think I have ever prayed and honestly thought that God would
answer my prayers like that. But He does He hears us and answers us
back!
Later
that day we were once again at a training session. This was time it
was all about hearing the Lord. Now I am not a person that really
believed that God really can talk through us. But let me tell you HE
DOES! Yesterday two things absolutely confirmed for me that God talks
to us and through us.
Case
one… We were told to turn and pray for the person on our left. I
don’t know this person but I listened to God and felt like I was to
pray over her that God had her. That God was going to wrap her up in
His arms and hold her tight. Later that night she called me over and
showed me her journal and what she had written the night before. I
spoke the exact words she had written in her journal. God speaks we
just need to listen!
Case
two…. We had our eyes closed and random person would come up to us
and we would pray for them while listening to God. A guy came up to
me. I started to try to listen to God. I was not getting much. But I
saw the outline of Africa so of course I tried to look at his name
tag and check this thing I was hearing. But God is bigger than that
and of course he was not wearing his name tag. Only later after
praying for him would it he confirmed that he was traveling to Africa
and I did indeed hear the Lord.
Guys
God is speaking we just have to listen! God is here and moving! Thank
