Mr. Eddie Conely

I don’t have much time, so I’m going to try to make this quick! In the process of doing so I might skip a lot of details; bear with me! So, Friday afternoon I arrived in ATL. I met my team and figured we’d soon be heading to training camp. Instead we were given $20 and some instructions: get to the 89 Ellis Street, Atlanta GA. The task was simple, but exciting. The excitement of meeting of everyone in person for the first time, taking a train through the amazing city (Yes, I love the city, graffiti and all), and realizing I packed too much stuff as I trekked from location...

Team Bonding In Georgia :)

Our team is an amazing blend of personalities and I know we are all really excited to grow our relationships with each other, our Kenyan friends, and God!  One of our team building tasks yesterday was to create a team mural for our trip. Each mission team made one as a group and right off the start our team started spitting out great ideas. Designs were discussed and changed throughout the process, we chalked our final idea on the canvas and everyone started painting.  It was really cool just sitting back and watching our team work as one body to create something...

The easiest thing to do is nothing…

Hello Friends and Family,   When our team met at the Atlanta airport it was so awesome how everyone just clicked together. Man, there sure is a lot to say, but not much time to say it.  The “Kingdom of God” has always been my where my thoughts lay, my heart dances, and where my God’s words end up in my mouth.  These couple of days, God has been showing me how to use my talents, gifts, attitude, time and words to further the Kingdom in any way I can.Training here in Georgia is so fun.  Trying new foods, learning a whole lot about our relationships with each other, our leaders, and our great and wonderful God.  Pulling into AIM on the bus was so comforting because it was out...

Wrecked From the Ordinary

In an Atlanta homeless shelter, written in a small corner of the wall, in a room packed of twelve girls and all their two months worth of stuff was a quote that said: “We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a Holy Nation, a peculiar people, that we should show forth the glory of the one who brought us out of darkness into HIS marvelous light.  In that moment the reality of this trip set in.  We ARE the chosen generation, we will impact the world we were called to serve.  I have learned very quickly that this is the biggest leap I’ve...
