WOW so were leaving tonight, flying out of Atlanta. I’ve been doing the training camp since friday and now we’re finally off. Its pretty amazing! Everything has been amazing! i feel like I’ve been gone for weeks already but it’s one been a couple days! ..were not even in Africa yet!   My team is beautiful. I’m so excited to get out on the field and live it out with them. I just want unity so bad for our team and I really feel like God’s blessed us with that already. Everyone’s heart is so pure. Everyone puts God first and that’s so...

Life lesson 1: Always close all flaps and zippers to your tent.

HI HI!   GEORGIA! Yay! Claire and I arrived in Atlanta Friday afternoon to find our Kenya team there! We met our new family for the next two months and really…the rest of our lives. We have all become so close already and the team dynamic is really working out in our favor! Praise Jesus for new friendships and life long memories that are already being made. In preparation for Kenya we are: tenting outside in the hot and humid Georgia heat, eating ethnic food from different countries (some I like annnnd some….not so much. Mr. Eddie Conely

I don’t have much time, so I’m going to try to make this quick! In the process of doing so I might skip a lot of details; bear with me! So, Friday afternoon I arrived in ATL. Team Bonding In Georgia :)

Our team is an amazing blend of personalities and I know we are all really excited to grow our relationships with each other, our Kenyan friends, and God!  One of our team building tasks yesterday was to create a team mural for our trip. Each mission team made one as a group and right off the start our team started spitting out great ideas. Designs were discussed and changed throughout the process, we chalked our final idea on the canvas and everyone started painting.  It was really cool just sitting back and watching our team work as one body to create something...

The easiest thing to do is nothing…

Hello Friends and Family,   When our team met at the Atlanta airport it was so awesome how everyone just clicked together. Right off the bat we had our first shock we were handed an envelope with a note and some money the, the note said to  find a place called the safe house. The safe house is a homeless shelter in Atlanta, little did we know that we were actually going to be staying the night there.   In our first meeting we were told that “the easiest thing to do is nothing.” This meant that anyone can just sit back and not do anything but it really takes...

Wrecked From the Ordinary

In an Atlanta homeless shelter, written in a small corner of the wall, in a room packed of twelve girls and all their two months worth of stuff was a quote that said: “We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a Holy Nation, a peculiar people, that we should show forth the glory of the one who brought us out of darkness into HIS marvelous light.  In that moment the reality of this trip set in.  We ARE the chosen generation, we will impact the world we were called to serve.  I have learned very quickly that this is the biggest leap I’ve...
