Jambo! Sa Sa!

HI MOM AND DAD! I made it to Kenya! We had a perfect flight and safe travels! We are here at International Christian Center in Nairobi and I am LOVING IT! I am eating and I got good rest on the plane but am looking forward to sleeping in my tent tonight (never thought those words would come outta my mouth. huh?) Thanks for all your prayers thus far! Please keep praying! I am learning Swahili and making lots of new friends here already! SO HAPPY!!   I love you momma and daddy! And all my family! Hi Kori and Staci! We have finally arrived!

After 31 hours of traveling we have finally arrived. Our hosts have been great feed us a wonderful lunch. We are now playing games and getting to know each other. Rest easy tonight mom. I am here safe. Love you all.  Kelsey

What’s Your Sign?

WE ARE HERE!!!! After a super long plane ride we have finally made it to Kenya.  We were greeted at the airport by numerous smiling faces from the International Christian Center offering to carry our bags.  Once we got to their church a huge feast was prepared.  After introductions with our new friends they taught us multiple games to get to know each others’ names.  In return we taught them signs.  That’s right SIGNS.  If we are playing signs in Kenya I know this summer is going to be great!  Anyways everything has been awesome so far and I...

K-E-N-Y-A kenya kenya…we are here!!

Friends & Family,   It is with SO much happiness that I can say that we made it!!!! We are in Kenya!!!!!!!! After a great 31 hours with the team, enjoying Wendys and a sleepless night in the ATL airport playing hacky sack we have arrived! Literally half way around the world! We were greeted by the International Christian Centre and they are SOOO incredible…I can’t wait for our ministry work to start with them. They served us a Kenya feast and we met their pastoral staff. Such nice people, I can’t wait for us to learn from each other! Would love to write more, but...

Habari (ha BA ree)

It basically means how are you in Swahili.  All of our new friends in Kenya speak English, but they want to teach us a little Swahili too.  I talked with nice seat partners as we flew for about 19ish hours.  I’m in Nairobi now at a church that we will be working with.  I’ll write more next time when I have more time.   Sarah
