We Are Hungry For More Of You

Africa has been amazing so far! It is completely different from what I expected. I guess I based what I thought Africa would be like from the Lion King. However, I have yet to see a lion and parts of the country are fairly urbanized. Even though they drive on the opposite side of the road and have limited road rules the city of Nairobi is similar to the U.S. but the slums are another story. Families of ten live in shacks smaller than my dorm room. Most of the houses were held up by rusted tin and cardboard , forcing you to hear every sound your neighbor makes. Also there was trash and...

Bumpy Roads and a Broken Nalgene

Hey yall!!!!  First off I want to say that I could really go for some Taco Bell and D’Blazios pizza right now.  Not to say the food has been bad here, I just miss it haha.  So the past few days have been really exciting.  We traveled to Kiserian the past couple of days where we have been working on rebuilding an abandoned church there.  While we were there we also traveled to the market, hospital, and just walked along the streets evangalizing to everyone we can.  It has been such an amazing experience so far.  I love my team/family more and more...

What a Great Week!

Hiii! Wow, what a week! The Lord has taught me so much this past week. I was able to surrender some things I needed to to Him and see him be faithful in so many different ways! I want to share though about an experience I had earlier this week. A couple of days ago I went into my first slum. It was unreal, and unlike anything I had ever been in before. I mean I had tried to prepare myself for this trip by looking up pictures of the slums but when you’re there it is completely different. There is layers of trash everywhere, there is wet dirt and human poop (which I...
