He Stood. He Walked!

Meet my new friend, we will call him, Tony. Tony lives in the slums. He lived in the house next to one of our Kenyan friends. He has something wrong with him medically. He has what they call epilepsy, but it doesn’t seem like that to me. He has really bad tremors all the time and he has not been able to walk for as long as people can remember. So our mission was to pray over him. We walked into his house in the slum and started our pray session. We prayed for healing. And we prayed and we prayed and we prayed. Someone felt like we needed a bucket of water to wash his feet before he...

Slow to Speak… Thanks, Expedition Team

This is what I’ve been learning through our fast from one full meal a day, no spending personal money, and no communication except through the blog. This fast helped me pray more, but it wasn’t extremely challenging for me, cuz I think I’m in my element. Since it was much harder for some other members of my team, I tried to let them use the internet for their blogs before me. With my luck, I was the one who found out that we had no more internet on our account cuz all our credits were used up already. So, I’ve been waiting, along with a few others, to write a...

The Power Of Testimony

Every Christian has a story.  A story of how God met us where we were, deep in sin, deep in failure, deep in living an illusion of happiness… and changed us, turned our life upside down, and saved us from our sinful nature.  Being a Christian doesn’t make me better or more selfless than the next person.  It is simply a gift that I’ve received.  *For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can...
