so, i just typed up this huge blog from the past two weeks, since we’ve had issues with the internet. and right as i was about to save it, the power went out. i don’t have time to type it all up again, but i want everyone to know that things are going well. the most exciting thing for me was this past weekend. when emily came to kenya with AIM, she became very close to her team’s driver, elisha. she called him ‘baba’ meaning ‘father.’ my mom kept in touch with baba and his family and when they found out i was coming to kenya, they invited me to their daughter’s wedding. i got their numbers before leaving and kept asking my leaders about it. i finally got to call baba the night before the wedding and didn’t think it was going to work out, but he was in nairobi and was able to pick me up! it was emotional, we shared stories about emily and cried together and i got to call momma and let her know. praise God! it was such an awesome weekend!

chris, congratulations on getting the job! i pray you get enough rest. i think of you often and i feel like i miss you more and more as the time goes by. less than three weeks! can you believe it? i’m so excited to see you!
momma, it was so good to talk with you! i’m excited that i’ll get to see you and dad earlier than i thought. i love you and miss you both very much and i’m praying for you and nana and grandma.
