Hey all!
So I wanted to start off by saying that Kenya is so different from America! HUGE birds in the trees, monkeys in the backyard, they drive on the left side of the road, and their steering wheel is on the right side of the car! Besides that, Kenya is similar to the US in the sense that we all look out for each other. Patrick (the most amazing cook!) even cooks vegetarian for me! I love everything that we have done so far. Today we worked at a school where I helped some first graders with math (I know, me math?), and helped to cook. The children were sooo happy to see us, and it was amazing to see all of their beautiful faces! Cooking is VERY important here, and it makes me feels guilty that I don’t cook from scratch much. Overall, I love it here. It is hard to get used to being away from home, but God is teaching me to rely on him, and he has sent a fantastic team to help me through my struggles.
PS. We aren’t sleeping in tents (that’s for you mom and dad :)). We are sleeping in a hostel (aka bunk beds and “sometimes” running water). I am amazed at what God can do all around the world!
